It's Been a While!

Hope everyone has been enjoying the crisp fall weather as October is finally upon us! October is definitely one of my favorite months, the weather is perfect, Starbuck's lattes always seem to taste better, and nothing beats bundeling up in lots of cozy layers ! As for the fall in Paris, fall has not really come into full effect. Some trees are beginning to change but nothing too drastic!

Maria and I have been very busy now that school has really started and we are settling into our daily routines. This past weekend, Maria's wonderful Mom visited Paris for the first time. The two had a fabulous time exploring the city together and had many adventures. Cannot wait for my Mommy to visit in November! We've also spent a lot of time roaming around the city, figuring out new places to hangout, shop, and dine.

Despite being very busy, we make sure to continue dressing the Parisian part. Fall is a very stylish time for Paris... Paris fashion week just finished last week and there were fabulous people absolutely everywhere! Julia and I went to hang in the Tulleries garden just to people watch, and we were not disappointed! Julia was also lucky enough to spot Rachel Zoe AND Taylor Swift heading into a fashion show and others spotted Ana Wintour and Jennifer Lopez's boyfriend Casper Smart! There are definitely a lot of looks trending for fall here in Paris... here's a little inside look into fall fashion in Paris!

Deep shades of red, called oxblood in the fashion world, are so popular for fall. It is absolutely everywhere. It looks great on every form of clothing, and is a great alternative to black.

Leather is another huge trend for fall. Its being seen in the form of jackets, skirts, and even pants! Its a very fun trend and looks polished yet edgy.

Sheer, ladylike blouses are always everywhere! They are perfect for day with a tank underneath and look perfect for a night out with just a pretty bra underneath. They are extremely popular among the students in our program!

Blazers are another incredibly popular form of clothing. They are the perfect jacket for the unpredictable Paris weather and they really make every outfit look put together. They are also a great jacket to wear out at night because they are so light weight and easy to take off (and they look divine layered over a dress)

Paris is really such an inspiring place in terms of style and dressing. I find myself looking at people everywhere I go and finding myself inspired to tryout a new trend. Pictures of our outfits will be coming. Have a fabulous day and always dress for the life you want, not the life you have ;]

bisous,

M&
