Louis Vuitton and Marc Jacobs!

Last week we were lucky to catch the end of Louisi Vuitton and Marc Jacobs exhibit in the Musee des Arts Decoratifs within the Louvre!

LV was a great business man and believed in quality and in making great packaging for products.

Here is one of the very first dresses designed before he got into his trunks

Here are some trunks that were at least 100 years old! They were before LV started having his symbol on his trunks.

I snuck in a picture when the guards weren't looking!

Marc Jacobs collaborated with LV and really changed the way the world viewed the brand. He brought youth and changed the classic Louis Vuitton bag.

Some LV bags designed by Marc Jacobs, he really changed the look of LV and modernized it

A close up of one of the bags.

Hope you enjoyed the mini view of the exhibit! There was many clothes designed by Marc Jacobs as well that we couldn't take pictures of as well as some of the classic trunks with LV.

Taking the Beaches of Normandy by Storm

This weekend, Maria and I headed to the beaches of Normandy for a field trip with our program! We learned a lot about WWII, ate some local delicacies ( that some of us did not enjoy! ), and got to spend some quality time with all of our fabulous new friends! The weather was gorgeous and the beaches were stunning. Our program stayed at a hostel right across the street from the beach where the artificial harbor was built so many years ago. We had some down time to hang out on the beach, and naturally it turned into a full on photo shoot. The lighting was so unbelievable that I couldn't help but take way too many photos. Here are some of my favorites!

Some of the girlies heading down to the beach!

Maria and I attempting to do our sorority symbol... it was so windy!

Playing in the water... surprising pretty warm

Meg so happy to be back at the beach

Meg (the lightening made for amazing pics!)

It was so difficult to pick just a few of my favorite pictures from the trip, there were so many gorg ones to choose from! The trip we were all dreading turned into being a great one... Normandy proved to be beautiful and fun. With its rich history and beautiful beaches, I would recommend it to anyone!

Fleur de Glace

After dinner, the girls got a craving for some ice cream so we stopped by Amorino Gelato by :)
The icecreams are shaped like flowers and are so beautiful and delicious! My camera even put itself on the "floral pictures" mode.

My icecream: Sepculoos, Nutella and Tiramisu

Here is a little video too! It shows how they make the icecream  into a flower

France for the Win

Last night we decided to attend a French National soccer match!! It was Meghan's first time and Maria's second. On the way to the match we took a quick picture in front of a beautiful fountain that we cannot resist not posting! France won 3-1 against Belarus and the crowd was going wild!  With every goal, everyone put up their French flags. It was amazing seeing so much French pride!

At the beautiful fountain with our beautiful ladies!

Sorry it's hard to see!

I thought I would add in some photos of the cute French soccer players too :)

A Rainy Day in Paris

While Meghan was working on her research paper, I went off to the Louvre with some friends! What a perfect day to go since it was raining! However, apparently it is closed on Tuesdays. Instead we decided to explore the streets of Paris, specifically St. Germain. After seeing the movie Midnight in Paris I was so excited to be in city in the rain!

Here are some pictures of our rainy day adventure!

In the streets!

Sam and I outside of a beautiful flower shop

The only froyo place I've seen in Paris, I have to come back!

Just a cute little picture of me next to some huge bottles :)

And I must not forget my favorite part of the day! I found the cutest little boutique filled with fun jewelry. It was own by a little Chinese man who grew up in China and he spoke English and French as well. He had the best jewelry and the place was so hidden. Such a find! Taking Meghan back today to make some purchases.

Some of my purchases!
So in love with this jewelry. I cannot wait to wear it going out and every day

I love doing things spontaneously like that; to me the most amazing times happen unexpectedly.

Montmartre

Had such a FABULOUS class trip today! We visited Montmartre and the Sacre Coeur. It was so beautiful and we grabbed some great pictures. It's a wonderful place to explore and awesome place to see painters and live musicians.

Sacre Coeur behind us!!!

Note my new beautiful maroon/burgandy Long Champ! Such a beautiful purchase!

The Final Day

Today was our last full day at home! As for myself, my day was filled with packing, packing, running to the store for more things I needed, and more packing! I also spent lots of time with my family and doing a summer assignment that, per usual, I saved for the last minute. It has been a whirlwind two weeks and I am so happy that the time has finally come for me to leave. It has been so hard seeing all of my friends posting fabulous pictures of their new lives studying abroad -- I have been so jealous and it's made me even more anxious to leave! Heres a photo my mom took of my dog, stanley, and me on our last day home. She always insists on taking pics every time I leave home ( I'm pretty sure this is because we never know or not if it will be the last time I will see my dog alive or not... poor guy is getting so old! )

I am so so so excited to finally be leaving tomorrow! Now let's just pray that my suitcases weigh less than 50 lbs...
